R. Stephen Hill

I earned an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014, and I am currently pursuing an MA in Classics at the University of Kentucky.  Since 2012, I've taught ancient Greek communicatively in the Polis Institute's intensive summer courses at the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce in Rome (2012-15) and at Ave Maria University in Florida (2014-16).

My interests in applied linguistics include second language acquisition (SLA) research, particularly SLA theory construction. In classics, I'm interested in the reception of classical literature by early Christian writers, in historical sociolinguistics, and in the application of SLA research to Greek and Latin pedagogy.
